Job Summary

Manage performance of a third-party transportation services provider running load planning and optimization in Applied’s Transportation Management System (TMS). Ensure timely execution of global freight networks across bulk air, ocean, ground, and parcel shipments by coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and internal logistics and planning teams. Own SLAs/KPIs, handle TMS routing escalations, support new program launches and carrier onboarding, and drive continuous performance improvements through root-cause analysis and best-practice deployment.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure loads are planned appropriately and timely in Applied’s TMS, and optimize transportation movement logic for inbound, in-network, and outbound shipments.
•Participate in MBR activities, manage carriers and onboarding into TMS, and define global processes applicable across the globe.
•Manage service provider and carrier SOWs by upholding expectations, establishing SLAs/KPIs, and reviewing transit times and performance vs. agreements.
•Serve as an escalation point for TMS routing issues, support escalations related to managed-provider TMS load planning, and cover end-to-end execution from EDI to freight payment.
•Support new program launches by mapping network design requirements into TMS, and drive continuous performance improvements through root-cause analysis and best-practice implementation.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree.
•2–4 years of relevant experience in logistics and transportation operations.
•Communication skills at all levels with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
•Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems, including through data and analytics.
•Strong attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and high business acumen.
