Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on traction and rack-and-pinion vertical transport systems.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • •Conduct scheduled inspections in compliance with ASME A17.1/CSA B44, state codes, and local AHJ regulations.
  • •Lead elevator modernization and major repair projects in coordination with facilities engineering and vendors.
  • •Support emergency and after-hours maintenance and provide safety briefings during high-risk work, including training/mentoring junior personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of experience as a licensed elevator mechanic with traction elevator, rack-and-pinion elevators, and high-rise vertical transport installations.
  • •Current state elevator mechanic license or certification.
  • •Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and work in tight, elevated spaces such as elevator shafts and roof-mounted lift systems.
  • •Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as necessary, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
