Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and coordinate debt recovery activities across Business Banking portfolios, including ad hoc projects to ensure recovery progress and quality.
  • •Collaborate with internal stakeholders (relationship management, credit risk, operations, legal, finance) to improve recovery outcomes and customer treatment.
  • •Manage debt collection agencies, including reviewing guidelines, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to Group, HASE, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Handle legal recovery actions when appropriate, including instructing external counsel, representing the bank at court hearings, and liaising with the Official Receiver’s Office/trustees on bankruptcy or winding-up matters.
  • •Prepare and maintain governance MI for problem loans (NPL, write-offs, recoveries), identify control gaps, and propose quality/control strengthening initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications.
  • •Proven managerial experience in credit risk, debt recovery/collections, and customer-facing and/or project management in commercial banking products.
  • •Good understanding of portfolio management techniques including analytics.
  • •Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proficiency in English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage.
  • •A strong sense of ownership and service mindset to ensure efficient customer service processes.
