Job Summary

Support a Class Teacher in delivering an engaging, inclusive learning environment for children. Work with individuals and small groups, help learners access the curriculum in the classroom, and adjust approaches as needed. Maintain and contribute to evidence of learning and Individual Education Plans (IEPs), provide feedback to support assessments, and assist with minor administrative tasks and resources. Also supervise students during breaks and accompany them on trips in line with school policy.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in providing an engaging, inclusive learning environment supporting children’s developmental and educational needs under the Class Teacher’s direction.
•Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the Class Teacher and subject teachers.
•Enable groups of children to access the curriculum in the classroom and adjust strategy or approach as needed to facilitate learning.
•Support recording and presenting evidence of learning, follow programmes of work toward set targets, and prepare/store general resources.
•Support children’s well-being, communicate appropriately with parents, supervise during breaks, and accompany children on school trips when appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Minimum High School education in English and Maths (degree preferred).
•Experience or aptitude for working with students; previous teaching assistant experience preferred.
•Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
•Enthusiasm and aptitude for working with students.
•Good team player with ability to use own initiative.
