Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and ship core iOS app pieces for live safety experiences, including live video capture/broadcast, real-time alerts, and the incident map.
  • •Run weekly release rotations end to end, landing high-priority fixes on a severity-based timeline.
  • •Use agents to draft, review, test, and instrument iOS code; propose where agents can run alone while maintaining production gate policy.
  • •Improve app health and performance (crash-free sessions, cold start, battery/memory impact) under real network conditions.
  • •Instrument product events (Segment to BigQuery) and validate event coverage and funnel accuracy for the surfaces you own.

Key Requirements

  • •Ship and own a consumer iOS app used by millions, and clearly identify what you personally built.
  • •Deep Swift and Apple platform expertise, including Swift 6 concurrency, networking, background execution, location, push, camera, and video.
  • •Experience with The Composable Architecture (or a comparable unidirectional architecture) and a modular Swift Package Manager codebase.
  • •Have run iOS releases end to end (CI, TestFlight, phased rollout, crash triage, and hotfixes).
  • •Have worked on real-time or live media and understand latency, jitter, and unreliable networks.
