Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver high-quality flood modelling and hydrology projects under general supervision, including development and checking of hydraulic models.
•Mentor junior staff and guide professional development within the team while engaging with local authorities, water companies, and public/private sector clients.
•Lead and contribute to tenders for single projects and multi-million pound framework contracts, ensuring alignment with programmes and budgets.
•Build and maintain relationships with clients and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated flood risk management solutions.
•Stay up-to-date with legislation and guidelines affecting flood modelling and water quality assessments, and contribute to project management systems and client communications.

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (e.g., Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller, and/or TUFLOW).
•Knowledge of Environment Agency requirements for flood models used in flood risk assessments.
•Basic understanding of physico-chemical water quality and associated regulatory standards for fresh waters.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline; near/obtained CIWEM or similar qualification.
