Key Responsibilities

  • •Support senior and lead mechanical engineers with mechanical design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects.
  • •Produce pumping calculations and specifications, system schematics, and equipment and drive schedules.
  • •Develop engineering specification documents for hydraulics and pump systems, including lifting/access/maintenance plans.
  • •Work with clients and internal design teams to assist project delivery, asset and network performance, and timely reporting.
  • •Collaborate across civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams and use digital design tools (e.g., BIM, ProjectWise, intelligent P&ID).

Key Requirements

  • •MEng in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above, or equivalent) would be preferred.
  • •Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
  • •Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills.
  • •Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (e.g., IMechE).
  • •Demonstrable interest in water projects, with the ability to structure and prioritize work effectively and work independently.
