Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data pipelines end to end, from ambiguous asks through production, including ingestion decisions and schema change handling.
  • •Build and maintain orchestration across dbt and GitHub Actions, implementing materialization strategies and moving critical models to incremental patterns to reduce latency.
  • •Stand up observability with freshness SLAs, alerting on failure and drift, and define clear incident ownership paths.
  • •Be the first responder when pipelines break and drive fixes upstream so the same failure doesn’t recur.
  • •Share and extend Snowflake administration and Terraform-managed medallion architecture, including separation of dev/prod environments, access governance, and storage organization.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of data engineering experience owning production systems others depend on.
  • •Strong Python and SQL with production ingestion (Fivetran or similar), orchestration (dbt, GitHub Actions, or Airflow), and cloud infrastructure experience.
  • •Solid Snowflake experience across access control, warehouse sizing, query performance, and cost management.
  • •Practical dbt experience with incremental models, testing, macros, git-based CI workflows, and building SCD tables from multiple sources.
  • •Experience building reliability practice (alerting, freshness SLAs, incident response) and comfort with Terraform-managed environments.
