Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to organizational policies and unit scope; coordinate care from first contact through discharge planning.
  • •Identify significant patient condition changes, initiate appropriate action, and report to supervisor or physician as required.
  • •Administer medications per policy, understand actions and contraindications, evaluate response, and respond to side effects; report ADRs and medication errors.
  • •Supervise practical nurses, junior staff, and student nurses to ensure safe and effective patient care; act as a preceptor to new staff as required.
  • •Participate in performance improvement and risk management, infection control, quality improvement activities, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Key Requirements

  • •NLT 2 years clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate setting (waived for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities after internship).
  • •Provide age-appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice defined by the regulatory body.
  • •Adhere to and promote the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi.
  • •Demonstrate confidentiality and security of patient and organizational information in line with confidentiality policy.
  • •Maintain competency through mandatory and unit-specific competencies and continuing nursing education (CNE) units per HA-AD and organizational requirements.
