Job Summary

Design and evolve the core architectural foundation of the data ecosystem to enable self-service analytics across the organization. Build and optimize data platform components such as Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, and AWS S3 data lakes, while scaling streaming telemetry for low-latency analytics. Develop Data-as-a-Service capabilities, improve distributed processing with Spark/PySpark, and implement secure RBAC and interoperability standards for a single source of truth.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of core data platform components including Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS S3 data lakes.
•Manage and scale high-throughput streaming systems using Kafka or Kinesis for real-time telemetry and low-latency analytics.
•Develop Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) features that let business units and studios onboard data and manage access with minimal friction.
•Optimize Spark and PySpark applications for performance and cost-efficiency across large distributed clusters.
•Design and automate granular access control models (RBAC) and ensure interoperability between platforms to maintain a single source of truth.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of professional experience in data platform or distributed systems engineering in high-volume environments.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with expert knowledge of big data processing frameworks like Spark.
•Deep experience with AWS services (S3, EKS, IAM, SNS/SQS) and working knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks.
•Experience building or extending workflow orchestration platforms like Apache Airflow and strong data modeling knowledge (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
