Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver highways and transportation projects across feasibility, concept, preliminary and detailed design, community engagement, project delivery, and construction management.
  • •Oversee technical delivery by appointing competent discipline lead engineers and developing engineering tasks for unique problems and novel approaches.
  • •Provide technical expertise to design teams across multidisciplinary projects, from conceptual phases through implementation.
  • •Provide health, safety and wellness leadership aligned with AECOM safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment.
  • •Develop client relationships and commercial opportunities, act as Project Director/Project Manager (including monitoring financial performance), and support bids, proposals, and fee proposals.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record leading the management and delivery of complex civil engineering and/or transport engineering projects, especially sustainable infrastructure and roads/traffic engineering.
  • •Experience with design standards for roads and active travel in the UK and Ireland.
  • •Working knowledge of contract forms used on the island of Ireland, including the New Engineering Contract and the Government Construction Contracts Committee Public Works Contract.
  • •Commercial acumen to manage opportunities and risks within project contracts.
  • •Chartered status and a relevant degree, or the ability to achieve similar Chartered status if moving from other jurisdictions.
