Job Summary

Independently support IRA/CD Operations by reconciling, researching, and clearing IRA/CD and internal account entries while verifying documentation accuracy for IRS and state reporting. Handle complex IRA distributions, risk-based transactions, compliance and documentation exceptions (including IRS audit letters), and perform IRS reissue/correction processing for 1099s and 5498s. Partner with Financial Centers, Legal, Tax, and IT to recommend and implement process enhancements and participate in assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain working knowledge of IRA/CD products and operational procedures to improve efficiencies and profitability.
•Research and clear CD/IRA entries and other internal account entries.
•Review and validate IRS and state documentation and coding (including W-8s, NC-4P, and W-4P) for accurate reporting.
•Process complex IRA distributions and risk-based transactions (penalty exceptions, death payouts) to maintain compliance.
•Perform IRS reissue and correction processing for IRA and CD transactions, including 1099s and 5498s, and support compliance/documentation exceptions such as IRS audit letters.

Key Requirements

•3 years of related experience, preferably in retail or operations.
•Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
•Knowledge of retail policies, procedures, and products.
•Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work under pressure.
