Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute the vision for Fifth Third’s Public Finance platform and align it with enterprise objectives.
  • •Establish geographic and industry coverage strategies and contribute to annual departmental goals.
  • •Drive fee income growth via origination of marquee public finance transactions and strategic advisory services.
  • •Ensure strict adherence to MSRB, EMMA, and all applicable regulatory requirements, and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • •Recruit, develop, and retain senior banking talent, including succession planning and incentive compensation systems.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in public finance banking or related investment banking roles, including leadership of senior banking staff.
  • •Proven track record driving revenue growth and managing complex transactions at scale.
  • •Thorough knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for public finance activities.
  • •Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 52, and SIE required; Series 24 preferred.
  • •MBA, MPA, or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
