Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design, and construction support.
  • •Create design drawings and mechanical plant selection and specification.
  • •Liaise and collaborate with water and other discipline teams including civil, electrical, process, and mechanical engineers.
  • •Deliver technical quality to support bids; interface with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
  • •Design mechanical installations (e.g., pumping stations, screens, grit removal plant, penstocks, valves, odour control systems, pipework) and produce related calculations, layouts, specifications, and schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution such as IMechE.
  • •Knowledge of pump station design, piping design, valve selection, and hydraulics.
  • •Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications, and calculations with confidence and precision.
  • •Hands-on experience delivering innovative solutions for water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
