Job Summary

Own complex customer issues and deliver high-level technical support using automation and an SRE approach. Work within an SRE team operating an OpenStack private cloud and building tools and integrations for cloud infrastructure services. Improve operations and releases through code changes, and use open-source observability tooling (ELK, Grafana) to support proactive alerting and Service Level Objectives. Collaborate with engineering and troubleshoot infrastructure, applications, and networks.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide high level technical support to customers via phone, ticketing, and automation, owning complex issues until resolution.
•Develop and deliver software to improve the functionality, reliability, availability, and manageability of applications and cloud platforms using a DevOps model.
•Automate development, testing, and deployment through CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, GitLab, Helm, and ArgoCD.
•Work with Tier 1 support on system and customer escalations and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network issues.
•Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize performance and continuously improve systems and processes for reliability and efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Solid OpenStack cloud infrastructure background with operational, fixing, and problem-solving experience.
•Experience across the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, packaging, deployment, upgrade, and support.
•OpenStack development and operations experience with major components including Keystone, Nova, Neutron, and Glance.
•Software development experience in Python, including the ability to write patches and contribute to the open-source community.
•Experience with software-defined storage and networking, including Ceph (or similar), KVM, Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS, Ansible or Puppet, and OVS/OVN/NFV.
