Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes across the generation fleet, including templates and tools for budgeting and reporting.
  • •Manage PowerSAM project economic analyses and risk ranking, ensuring accurate benefit assumptions with Engineering and Plant Operations and maintaining required PowerSAM controls.
  • •Maintain the Unit Characteristic (UC) portal with updates and approval workflow; calculate and track lost margin opportunity and commercial availability; provide monthly PowerGADS support and metric reporting.
  • •Assemble plant benchmarking metrics for the fleet and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual performance metric reporting, including ad hoc analysis using multiple data sources.
  • •Develop and maintain methodologies tying KPI drivers to improvement or cost initiatives, design tools/dashboards for decision-making, and support sustainability reporting and M&A asset sales process.

Key Requirements

  • •Five to ten years of relevant heavy industry or conventional power plant experience.
  • •BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics (or related quantitative field).
  • •10+ years industry experience with at least 5 years directly related to plant operations or heavy industry (preferred).
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of the power industry, including power and commodity markets, rules, and regulations affecting plant operations.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) and ability to develop PowerBI/dashboard solutions; familiarity or willingness to develop proficiency in PowerSAM, PowerGADS, FPR, UC portal, OSS, and SAP.
