Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant refrigeration system, boiler system, air compressors, and hot water system.
  • •Perform daily preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs for refrigeration and related equipment.
  • •Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia compressors and related components (including condensers and valve stations).
  • •Maintain equipment in best operating condition to meet food industry temperature requirements.
  • •Serve as an emergency response team member and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •PSM experience.
  • •Experience with anhydrous ammonia systems, including mechanical and electrical repairs (ammonia response training preferred).
  • •Able to obtain SCBA certification and use fully encapsulated chemical suit in emergency.
  • •Able to pass IIAR training modules for ammonia refrigeration.
  • •Familiar with preventative maintenance programs and have 1 year of industrial maintenance/electrical training plus 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or HVAC operator experience.
