Job Summary

Design, enhance, and update firmware subsystems by analyzing requirements, determining coding/integration tasks, and implementing programming changes. Write and execute firmware testing plans, protocols, and documentation, debugging and resolving issues found in code and architecture integration. Lead project work with firmware engineers and internal/external partners, represent the team across complex development phases, and mentor less-experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Design enhancement, updates, and programming changes for firmware portions and subsystems.
•Analyze designs to determine required coding, programming, and integration activities based on overall architecture.
•Create and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation; debug and resolve integration/code issues.
•Lead a project team of firmware engineers and internal/external development partners to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
•Collaborate with management and partners on firmware design status, progress, and issue resolution; mentor less-experienced staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
•Typically 3-5 years of experience in firmware/software engineering.
•Expertise in multiple firmware design tools and languages.
•Experience designing firmware and integrating it with hardware design.
•Familiarity with firmware testing methodology, including writing/executing test plans and debugging issues.
