Job Summary

Under direct supervision with an assigned mentor, perform standard welding-process operations to support manufacturing of parts and assemblies. Duties include welding, brazing and prep, clean-up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing, using specified welding equipment to meet regulatory requirements. Work in a quality-oriented environment by maintaining equipment, using lifting and material-handling tools, reading blueprints and drawings, performing inspection, following safety procedures, and meeting Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform standard welding-process operations under direct supervision with an assigned mentor or coach.
•Carry out welding, braze and prep, post-braze and final clean-up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing.
•Use specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies to meet regulatory requirements.
•Maintain a stringent, quality-oriented environment by ensuring equipment is maintained timely and correctly.
•Follow safety procedures and perform post-work inspection of work while meeting Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Key Requirements

•Completion of high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 6 months of experience.
•Two years of related experience and certification in welding (or equivalent) is preferred.
•Competent in the use of computers.

•Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and perform work per Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
