Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure a safe work environment by complying with safety policies, procedures, and using the appropriate tools and equipment.
  • •Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations, and report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources.
  • •Assist construction/paving crews with duties such as shoveling and raking, running wheelbarrows, and safely backing/dumping trucks into the paver.
  • •Signal operators of construction equipment to support alignment, movement, and materials placement.
  • •Follow direction of the Foreman for daily tasks and may assist with digging, leveling, lifting/carrying materials, and installing/removing traffic control devices.

  • •Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environments, and report problems to the appropriate leaders.
  • •Assist the construction/paving crew with tasks such as shoveling/raking, running a wheelbarrow, and safely backing/dumping trucks into the paver.
  • •May be required to run small power tools such as a jackhammer, and help dig, spread, and level construction materials.
  • •Meet work requirements including being 18+; passing a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
