Job Summary

Pack products into trays/cartons for shipping by preparing cartons/trays, manually packing and palletizing, and performing final quality inspections. Inspect packaging integrity (e.g., seals, code dates, labels), remove out-of-spec items, and complete sanitation and housekeeping tasks following safety and 5S guidelines. May assist with rework, prepare lines for startup and changeovers, and operate tray-making/stapling machines as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare cardboard cartons/trays by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and securing ends; ensure adequate tape supply.
•Perform visual inspections of finished packaging for product integrity; remove out-of-spec product and communicate issues.
•Fill cartons/displays according to packaging specs and ensure correct labels, tapes, and seals when applicable.
•Stack cartons/trays on pallets/skids using correct stacking patterns; use pallet jack to move finished goods up to 300 lbs (if applicable).
•Clear and discard defective items, sweep and sanitize the work area, assist with rework, and support line startup/changeovers; report issues to appropriate leads.

•Ability to lift/carry and handle items up to the position’s stated weight limits.
