Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver culinary arts curriculum aligned to state standards and CTE pathways.
  • •Teach food preparation techniques, cooking methods, nutrition, and kitchen management.
  • •Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen/classroom environment; instruct students on food safety and sanitation.
  • •Differentiate instruction and assess student progress using practical (hands-on) and written evaluations.
  • •Manage inventory, equipment, and food ordering within budget; supervise students during labs and communicate with students, families, and staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Education, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •Michigan Math Teaching Certification required.
  • •Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain CTE certification).
  • •Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
