Job Summary

Lead the FSRA risk-based supervision of an insurance portfolio and potentially other financial institutions. Execute supervisory planning, onsite/third-party reviews, information requests, and ongoing risk assessments, and draft recommendations. Manage periodic reports, implementation controls, and prompt actions on deficiencies. Serve as an expertise and support reference point within the Supervision team, working closely with Senior Managers, Directors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute effective supervision of financial institutions within the FSRA risk-based supervisory plan.
•Develop supervisory plans/strategies for assigned firms and mitigate supervisory concerns with line manager/backup.
•Use supervisory tools such as onsite reviews, third-party reviews, and information requests; lead and assist risk assessments and recommendations.
•Review periodic reports/returns and conduct implementation controls/progress reporting where deficiencies are identified.
•Act as a reference point within the Supervision team, support a team culture, and take prompt action against deficiencies and non-compliances.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of experience in insurance supervision or related roles.
•Considerable knowledge of insurance sector regulations, products, services, and market practices.
•Experience assessing risks to identify trends/concerns and determine remedial actions and future regulatory requirements.
•Well-developed communications skills in writing and orally, with strong internal and external stakeholder management.
•Fluency in business English.
