Key Responsibilities

  • •Build, deploy safely, incrementally, and operate critical production systems for CloudVision with emphasis on scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and security.
  • •Monitor, support, and enhance deployment experience across services; proactively monitor and respond to alerts with automated alert handling.
  • •Create and maintain incident response runbooks; write postmortem documents and implement solutions to prevent repeat incidents.
  • •Build automation to remove toil and efficiently operate production systems; deploy new systems in staged manners.
  • •Triage platform/infrastructure issues, help software engineers, engage with third-party vendor support, and work with product development teams to resolve bottlenecks and limitations in workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ experience; or MS Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years’ experience.
  • •Knowledge of one or more of Go, Python, or bash shell scripting to implement medium-complexity automation workflows.
  • •Knowledge of Linux/UNIX from an administration and debugging perspective.
  • •Hands-on experience operating software systems (infrastructure/complex applications) at scale, including server provisioning (storage/networking perspective).
  • •Experience with infrastructure-as-code; desirable experience with databases, Docker/virtualization, monitoring stack, CI/CD (GitLab/Spinnaker), Terraform, and Kubernetes orchestration.
