Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic work using prescribed procedures, including responding to customer service requests for connections and disconnections.
  • •Inform customers of needed repairs, answer basic questions, ensure customers understand and are satisfied with completed work.
  • •Disconnect service as necessary and perform collection efforts on delinquent accounts.
  • •Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment; may read meters and record usage for billing.
  • •Support responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies; maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, plus completion of assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), and OJT specific to Service Learning Path.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards; maintain required OQs and any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications.
  • •Ability to use the company internet/intranet web site and available resources for data entry, reference, and/or retrieval.
  • •Ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and provide explanations or information on basic factual topics.
  • •Ability to meet physical and work-condition demands, including lifting/carrying up to stated weights and working outdoors in all types of weather.
