Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot equipment problems and make economical, durable repairs.
  • •Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
  • •Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and shop/non-mobile equipment.
  • •Service vehicles and equipment (oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters) and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair electrical/hydraulic systems and diesel/gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •5 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic, including mechanical maintenance on heavy duty construction equipment.
  • •Experience working with heavy equipment such as Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, and motor graders.
  • •Must have a current, valid driver’s license.
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
