Job Summary

Own network reliability and customer satisfaction by supporting Lumen Managed Services. Design and configure data systems and performance management for customer needs, monitor and analyze network performance, troubleshoot complex routing/switching issues, and ensure service restoration. Provide rotating off-hours support, develop technical procedures and process flows, maintain documentation, and test disaster recovery plans for network performance management equipment. Mentor peers and coordinate with internal teams and vendors.

•Provide data support for Managed Services contracts, including data design, installation, and maintenance.
•Lead engineering design and configuration for data systems aligned to Managed Services customer goals and requirements.
•Maintain knowledge of complex routing and switching and support network performance management configurations.
•Monitor and analyze performance across customer networks and MS Tools deployments; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
•Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis, develop technical methods/procedures, maintain documentation, and test disaster recovery plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years related experience (or equivalent education/experience).
•Microsoft Windows Server and/or SolarWinds subject matter expertise.
•Experience isolating telecom/network outage causes and restoring service, including understanding Cisco characteristics.
•Direct customer interaction communication skills and proficiency translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
•Must be available 24/7 for outages and maintenance window work.
