Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide cost management services throughout the project lifecycle, including cost planning, commercial oversight, and financial control.
  • •Advise clients on procurement and bidding, manage prequalification and bid levelling, chair bid interviews, and make final recommendations.
  • •Develop and review project estimates, including benchmarking and reviewing junior team members’ estimations.
  • •Establish cost reporting schedules, review and present cost reports and forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and host periodic meetings with project teams and vendors.
  • •Manage cost control including payment applications, change order requests, contractor entitlements, dispute prevention/resolution procedures, invoicing, and post-contract audits/account close-outs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of construction industry technical topics (e.g., procurement routes, value management, value engineering).
