Job Summary

Design Engineer Structures at WSP assists in the assessment, review and design of multi-level residential, commercial and institutional projects. Under supervision of the Project Engineer, Senior Engineer and Structures Manager, prepares calculations, CAD drawings and technical reports, ensures code compliance, and supports drawing coordination. Requires Civil Engineer registration, 4+ years of design experience, and proficiency in RAM Concept, ETABS, and related software.

Key Responsibilities

•Report to the Project Engineer, Senior Engineer and Structures Manager and contribute to design and detailing
•Prepare and check design calculations, drawings and sketches in compliance with project requirements and codes
•Provide drawings/sketches for own designs and coordinate with Technicians for markups and drafting
•Review shop drawings and perform quality design checks and drawing reviews
•Assist Project Manager and participate in meetings; develop technical reports and ensure safety in design

Key Requirements

•Registered Civil Engineer recognized by the relevant licensure regulatory board
•Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications
•Good English communication skills
•Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design of multi-level residential, commercial and institutional projects
•Experience in design software including RAPT, RAM Concept, Microstran, and ETABS
