Lead technical transmission line design projects (34.5kV–500kV) for high‑voltage and extra‑high‑voltage systems, including route assessment and structure design. Manage design deliverables, reviews, and client relationships while coordinating with contractors; travel to client sites as needed and mentor the project team to ensure on‑time, within‑budget, quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical aspects of transmission line design projects (34.5kV–500kV), including new lines, relocations, rebuilds, upgrades, structure replacements, and fiber optic additions
•Prepare and review design deliverables, such as plan and profile drawings, material selection, and construction specifications
•Conduct quality reviews of internal and subcontractor deliverables
•Manage and prioritize multiple projects within budget and time constraints
•Develop and monitor scope, schedules, and budgets against plan and contracts

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil (BSCE), Mechanical (BSME), or Electrical (BSEE) or Engineering Physics (BSc) from an accredited university
•5 to 10 years of experience in transmission design for overhead HV and EHV lines, including route selection, line/structure spotting, structure design and bid package development
•Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite
•Experience in a Project Engineering or Project Management capacity with multidisciplinary teams
•Professional Engineer license (P.Eng.)
