Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices and bills of lading) and perform routine truck service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations.
  • •Pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs) and be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills when speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and meet physical requirements (lift up to 40 pounds).
