Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead mold design and development from concept through production release for VF footwear brands using a design-for-quality approach.
  • •Partner with internal teams to ensure footwear designs are functional, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with brand/aesthetic requirements.
  • •Collaborate with tooling vendors and manufacturing partners to meet quality, cost, lead-time, and sustainability targets.
  • •Provide technical expertise on mold engineering and manufacturing processes, including injection and compression, aligned with material selections.
  • •Execute mold trials, testing, and validation with factories and Quality/innovation partners, supporting VF Responsible Materials goals and traveling to partners as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • •Experience with mold vendors and manufacturing partners across Asia (e.g., China, Vietnam, Indonesia).
  • •Footwear mold/tooling engineering or component development experience, ideally within global brands or OEM factories/Supply Chain.
  • •Expertise in mold construction and CAD-based design for mass-production manufacturing methods.
  • •Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to operate independently and meet aggressive timelines.
