Job Summary

Teach assigned Applied Media courses and additional areas of the program for second-language learners in a student-centered environment that builds respect for students’ cultures and traditions. Serve as temporary adjunct faculty to enhance learning, delivering instruction across undergraduate program courses (including capstones, work experience, and senior specialized classes). Participate in applied research, academic and extra-curricular college events, and community outreach. Teaching loads are assigned based on need.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide effective instruction in assigned Applied Media subjects and at least two or more areas of the assigned program/discipline for second-language learners.
•Instruct undergraduate courses in the respective discipline, including regular program courses, capstone projects, work experience, and senior-level specialized courses.
•Support applied research activities and participate in academic and extra-curricular events at the college.
•Engage in outreach activities and community involvement in connection with college events.
•Perform teaching duties on an as-needed basis, with teaching load assigned up to nine (9) credits per semester and schedule driven by the teaching timetable.

Key Requirements

•Provide effective instruction in assigned Applied Media courses and program areas for second-language learners in a student-centric environment.
•Hold a Master’s Degree and a professional certification relevant to the Applied Media discipline.
•Or, hold a Bachelor’s Degree, which may be considered with extensive industry experience and relevant industry certification.
•Meet appropriate academic professional qualifications as required by the discipline/program.
•A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
