Job Summary

Serve as a key legal advisor in the Institutional practice group within the Global Legal team, supporting OKX’s institutional and trading businesses and its P2P platform. Provide strategic guidance on complex legal and regulatory matters, including contract negotiations and structuring crypto financial products. Lead legal risk analysis for digital assets, align new initiatives with regulatory requirements, and develop institutional and P2P legal policies as the digital asset landscape evolves.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a key legal advisor for the institutional business, trading, and P2P platforms, ensuring compliance and legal support.
•Provide strategic guidance and oversight on complex legal and regulatory issues impacting institutional clients, including contract negotiations and compliance.
•Conduct legal analysis and manage risks for new and existing digital assets used by institutional clients and on the P2P platform.
•Collaborate with product development and business development teams to ensure initiatives align with regulatory requirements.
•Develop and refine policies and procedures governing institutional and P2P operations to strengthen the legal and regulatory framework.

Key Requirements

•Must hold a law degree and be eligible to practice as an advocate.
•Senior lawyer with at least 7+ years of experience at a law firm, digital assets firm, or top-tier financial institution.
•Proven track record in a top-tier law firm or in-house role at a top financial institution, with exposure to institutional trading and preferably digital assets experience.
•Experience negotiating and drafting lending/credit agreements, account control agreements, custody agreements, and delayed settlement agreements.
•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage tight deadlines.
