Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with clients and Avanade leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • •Bridge strategy to execution by turning business cases and transformation roadmaps into production-ready solution architectures and delivery plans.
  • •Own the FDE engineering standard, covering patterns, practices, testing, evaluation, production readiness, and operational support requirements.
  • •Define and evolve AI-native engineering practices (agent-assisted development, automated evaluation, reusable components, observability, and production operations).
  • •Deploy personally on the most complex, strategic, at-risk mandates and build the FDE hiring, assessment, capability, and career-pathway enablement model.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in software or AI engineering with senior/lead accountability for production systems that are maintained after launch.
  • •Deep, hands-on agentic engineering experience (orchestration, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, observability, and failure handling).
  • •Strong command of the Microsoft AI stack (or equivalent depth on another stack if transferable).
  • •Ability to set and maintain an engineering standard for a team, including with engineers who initially disagreed.
  • •Experience assessing and hiring engineers at volume and pace with a defensible bar, plus client-facing credibility as the lead is deployed to mandates.
