Job Summary

Safely perform a variety of construction labor tasks to support highway, utility, grade crews and on-site plant operations. Prepare ground surfaces, set up work-area safety controls, assist with paving/asphalt and manhole/water line prep, and help with trench and pipe installation activities. Also support plant labor duties such as equipment maintenance/repairs and set up/take down of traveling plants when required, following supervisor instructions.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely perform a variety of construction duties to assist highway, utility, grade crews and on-site plant operations, following supervisor instruction.
•Prepare ground surfaces for road building, remove debris, and assist with leveling/compaction tasks.
•Set up fencing, barricades, and/or safety cones to block off the work area as needed.
•Assist utility trench and pipe work, including guiding pipes, connecting pipes, and setting up/operating laser equipment.
•Support plant labor duties such as maintaining equipment in safe working order and performing setup/take down, maintenance, and repairs as needed.

•Previous related experience in the construction field is a plus.
