Job Summary

Join AECOM’s Soil, Groundwater and Remediation team as a Geo-Environmental Consultant. You’ll deliver Phase 1 environmental assessments, ground investigations, and monitoring, manage projects from desk study to remediation, contribute to fee proposals, and work hybrid from offices in Birmingham, Cardiff or Manchester while traveling UK-wide to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver Phase 1 environmental assessments, ground investigations, and routine monitoring tasks.
•Work independently to ensure technical quality, budget control, and programme adherence.
•Support the preparation of fee proposals for internal and external clients.
•Manage projects from desk study and feasibility, through to delivery of site investigations and data interpretation, to remediation design and delivery.
•Contribute to large infrastructure projects and foster meaningful environmental outcomes within a collaborative team.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in an environmental, science, or engineering-based subject.
•Good understanding of contaminated land assessment regulations and guidance.
•Working knowledge of CDM regulations and site management.
•Hands-on field experience with site management, drilling supervision, groundwater and ground gas sampling, and supervision of remediation activities.
•Full driving licence and CSCS card; willing to travel within the UK and work away from home for periods.
