Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess patients immediately on arrival, determine severity, and oversee emergency patient recovery.
  • •Develop effective patient care plans, prescribe/administer medication and specialized care, and perform necessary examinations and treatments.
  • •Coordinate with ER department staff to ensure patients receive necessary evaluation, treatment, and support during multiple emergency cases.
  • •Respond immediately to cardiac/cardiopulmonary arrest and provide instructions for discharge, including completion of required paperwork.
  • •Ensure compliance with clinical governance, maintain accurate medical records, contribute to clinical quality standards, and participate in mandatory training (including CPR, Health & Safety, Fire Safety) and relicensing/recertification schemes.

Key Requirements

  • •Maintain active privileges consistent with the specialty scope of services and required experience to practice, renewable every 2 years.
  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/fellowship/diploma recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by the UAE healthcare authority, with active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
