Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design of data centre mechanical systems and equipment.
  • •Produce technical specifications for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • •Produce calculations, technical/equipment specification documentation for tender.
  • •Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with employers’ requirements, design specifications and all relevant safety codes.
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines including Architect and Structural engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge and experience in designing mechanical systems for data centres.
  • •Chartered status (or working towards Chartered status) with CIBSE or IMechE or equivalent experience.
  • •Technical MEP knowledge of relevant UK and EU regulations, design guides, etc.
  • •Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier Classification System.
  • •Working understanding of TAS of IES and Hevacomp to allocate/direction of work on projects.
