Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform minor maintenance and repairs (ceiling tile replacement, drywall repair, painting, caulking, plumbing fixes).
  • •Maintain building systems and facilities support tasks, including door/closer adjustments, vent cleaning, water intrusion response, and HVAC condensate drain preventive maintenance.
  • •Inspect and maintain safety equipment monthly (fire extinguishers and AEDs), and handle lighting tasks including bulb replacement and emergency lighting testing.
  • •Transport, install, and reconfigure office furniture and equipment; support inventory in government warehouses and assist with DRMO deliveries and space moves.
  • •Operate forklifts and man lifts, coordinate daily projects and delivery schedules, track work using ARCHIBUS, and support inspections and emergency preparedness (including hurricane readiness).

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance by passing background investigation (local and federal).
  • •High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in general maintenance or facilities support.
  • •Valid Florida driver’s license; forklift and man lift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • •Ability to perform minor repairs such as drywall repair, plumbing fixes, painting, and caulking.
  • •Strong attention to detail and safety compliance, with eligibility to handle CUI-level information.
