Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement KSA compliance policies, procedures, and the KSA annual plan/risk assessment, reporting progress to the GLRCC and Board.
  • •Serve as SAMA-approved Compliance Officer and AML/Financial Crime Officer (MLRO), owning AML/CFT controls including customer due diligence, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, and SAFIU reporting.
  • •Own compliance with SAMA’s Counter-Fraud Framework, including fraud detection/investigation controls, remediation plans, governance committee chairing, and counter-fraud reporting.
  • •Lead SAMA supervisory visits, inspections, and compliance audits; ensure evidence trails and resolution of findings and commitments.
  • •Own regulatory reporting and approved-persons processes, support data protection compliance (PDPL/SDAIA) with the cyber team, and manage/develop the KSA compliance officer and compliance team as the license scope expands.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of compliance experience in financial services, including direct experience inside a SAMA-regulated entity.
  • •In-depth knowledge of KSA financial services regulation for fintechs/payment/open banking providers, including SAMA rules, open banking, counter-fraud, financial consumer protection, AML/CFT, and PDPL.
  • •Track record building and running compliance programs and policies from the ground up.
  • •Direct experience managing SAMA inspections and audits and liaising with regulators.
  • •Meets SAMA Fit and Proper requirements; a current or prior SAMA written non-objection is an advantage (CAMs or equivalent AML/financial crime qualification preferred).
