Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical design, analysis, and guidance for new product development and product improvements with decision-making authority for system and component design.
  • •Lead and participate with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to design, analyze, and implement product designs and improvements across the product design lifecycle.
  • •Plan, organize, control, and lead multiple simultaneous projects; create, update, and interpret schedules and communicate status to Engineering Leadership and IPT(s).
  • •Create and guide design standards and technical documentation, including engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.34), test procedures/reports, and design review materials.
  • •Lead technical leadership and mentoring for co-workers; lead cross-functional RCCA investigations and provide input for failure investigation and customer-returned hardware.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • •Minimum five (5) years of Mechanical and Project Engineering supporting manufacturing product design, including design experience using 3D CAD software.
  • •This role is subject to ITAR; all applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
  • •No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA facility.
  • •Experience implementing hydraulic product design and testing in a manufacturing plant environment is preferred (plus aerospace/automotive industry experience).
