Key Responsibilities

  • •Observe all safety precautions, food safety requirements, and plant rules; wear required PPE and maintain good housekeeping.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance across facility infrastructure and equipment.
  • •Diagnose equipment problems and repair or replace mechanisms and components such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, heaters, conveyors, drives, and electrical systems.
  • •Keep records of completed work in a work order system and communicate within the department and with other departments.

Key Requirements

  • •Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • •High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • •Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance or two years of experience, preferred.
  • •Functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with at least one year of practical application.
  • •Working knowledge of PLCs; basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools.
