Job Summary

Inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Follow safety and food safety requirements (SQF), maintain clean work areas and PPE, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform repairs or replacements on key components. Keep accurate records in a work order system and communicate with the maintenance and other departments to ensure equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Observe all safety precautions, food safety requirements, and plant rules; wear required PPE and maintain good housekeeping.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.
•Perform preventative maintenance across facility infrastructure and equipment.
•Diagnose equipment problems and repair or replace mechanisms and components such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, heaters, conveyors, drives, and electrical systems.
•Keep records of completed work in a work order system and communicate within the department and with other departments.

Key Requirements

•Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
•High school diploma or GED equivalency.
•Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance or two years of experience, preferred.
•Functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with at least one year of practical application.
•Working knowledge of PLCs; basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools.
