Job Summary

Prepare quantity estimates and manage awarded construction projects, using material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Lead bid market analysis and bid administration, including pursuit allocation, peer bid reviews, and preparation of bid packages and subcontractor bid analysis. Partner with clients and vendors to resolve estimate issues, maintain supplier pricing, and oversee project cost projections, billing, and cost sheet accuracy for ongoing performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and documents to prepare time, material, equipment, production, and labor estimates.
•Prepare preliminary and detailed estimates based on plans and specifications, including physically measuring and assessing commercial project conditions.
•Manage awarded projects by handling scheduling, resource allocation, cost projections, billing, and monitoring cost sheets for accuracy and budget compliance.
•Lead bid market analysis and bid administration, including bid advertisement account maintenance, pipeline entry, pursuit allocation, and peer bid reviews.
•Maintain supplier pricing information, prepare bid packages and subcontractor bid analysis, and perform regular job cost projections.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
•Experience in construction estimating (five years preferred) and construction management (five years preferred).
•Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other bid documents to prepare estimates.
•Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, including presenting information to customers and clients.
•Ability to use basic math/data skills for quantities, costs, and computations, including working with database software.
