Key Responsibilities

  • •Qualify and ready suppliers by running process audits, capability assessments, and manufacturing readiness reviews ahead of production release.
  • •Translate engineering specifications into supplier-facing quality requirements: inspection/test plans, acceptance criteria, witness/hold points, and documentation deliverables.
  • •Plan, witness, and sign off factory acceptance tests for electrical gear and mechanical systems, including functional, performance, and integrated-system testing.
  • •Lead nonconformance handling for factory-found issues using 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and fault-tree methods, driving CAPA to verified closure.
  • •Define and track supplier quality KPIs and apply SPC/statistical analysis to identify systemic risk before defects reach factory acceptance testing.

Key Requirements

  • •6–10+ years of quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or supplier quality experience in electrical or mechanical equipment manufacturing or comparable high-consequence industries.
  • •Hands-on experience across at least one data center equipment stack (e.g., switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, busway, chillers, CDUs, air handlers, pumps) and the ability to ramp on the other stack.
  • •Experience planning and witnessing factory acceptance tests and conducting supplier audits, including making hold-vs-accept-with-deviation decisions.
  • •Fluency in quality problem-solving tools and methods including 8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC, and control plans (plus PPAP or equivalent).
  • •Ability to read electrical one-lines, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings; produce ITPs, audit reports, and NCR packages with strong technical writing.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
