Job Summary

Provide second-line support for enterprise security devices, focusing on security infrastructure maintenance, remote troubleshooting, and incident resolution (not SOC threat monitoring). Maintain firewall, VPN gateway, and security appliance stability and availability while meeting strict SLA requirements. Use NMS/vendor platforms to monitor and manage device health, perform L2 troubleshooting and change validation, escalate to L3/TAC as needed, and work in a 24x7 shift rotation with nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and maintain enterprise security devices (firewalls, VPN appliances, security gateways) using NMS and vendor management platforms.
•Perform L2 troubleshooting for device health issues, policy/configuration errors, HA failovers, and connectivity incidents.
•Support security platforms including Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower/ASA (or equivalent) through configuration updates, policy adjustments, failover testing, firmware reviews, and change checks.
•Review alerts, identify root causes, and escalate to L3/vendor TAC when required.
•Execute routine NOC tasks (device backups, log/CPU/memory checks, HA status validation, certificate expiry monitoring) and maintain accurate documentation; follow ITIL for incident/change/problem management and work a 24x7 shift rotation.

Key Requirements

•Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
•Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise firewalls or security appliances.
•Experience with at least one major security vendor (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Sophos).
•Good understanding of firewall policies, NAT, ACLs, IPsec/SSL VPN, HA/cluster configurations, and certificates/PKI fundamentals.
•Strong troubleshooting skills (packet capture, log analysis, rule debugging) and familiarity with NOC tools for monitoring/remote diagnostics.
