Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce cost estimates covering materials, subcontractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities for project bidding support.
  • •Develop detailed scope from design-build plans/specifications and create estimates including system sketches, scope definition, exceptions/exclusions, and preliminary proposals.
  • •Collect and analyze project data and construction plans/specifications to compile detailed cost estimates.
  • •Perform take-off and pricing for purchased equipment, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, and options.
  • •Review bid documents and subcontractor proposals for conflicts and constructability issues; hold pre-bid meetings and identify cost-saving opportunities and risk items.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • •Project Management and/or HVACR related work experience.
  • •Experience with construction estimating, project bidding, and/or procurement.
  • •Working knowledge of construction systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, plus HVAC systems and temperature controls.
  • •Ability to communicate with and direct subcontractors to obtain proposal information, and flexibility to work outside normal hours with some travel and occasional overnight stays.
