Job Summary

Lead product quality at the Odon facility by coordinating SQF practitioner duties, internal ISO and food safety audits, and customer/3rd-party audit activities. Drive customer complaint investigations and root-cause removal, partnering with Technical to ensure specifications and trial/sample testing are completed and recorded in the Synergy database. Oversee Quality Inspectors and back up the Quality Technician on COA issuance and specialty film performance testing, reporting workload data to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

•Fulfills SQF Practitioner duties and coordinates internal ISO and food safety audits.
•Leads customer and 3rd party audits.
•Partners with the Technical Department to ensure product specifications are entered in the Synergy Database and that trial/sample materials are tested, identified, packaged, and delivered.
•Supports complaint and defect analysis, including root cause removal, and writes/modifies work instructions and testing protocols with Technical.
•Oversees workload reporting to the Quality Manager and backs up the Quality Technician (COA issuance, specialty film performance testing, management of retention, and calibration/ordering supplies).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma with at least 2 years of laboratory or quality assurance related experience.
•Working knowledge of computer software including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Explorer, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
•ISO 9001:2008 and SQF experience preferred.
•Good oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to interpret statistical results and work in a highly motivated, self-directed manner.
