Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in installation and qualification of R&D equipment.
  • •Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems and perform on-site service and repair.
  • •Identify and implement throughput, uptime, yield, and product performance improvements based on tool and product performance data.
  • •Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned toolsets (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and safety interlock systems) and maintain logbooks and spare parts readiness.
  • •Provide shift coverage and participate in weekend on-call for emergency tool support, escalating to engineering when required and completing written handoff for day-team follow-up.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 39.06 - 59.78 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent with 14 years of relevant technical experience, or Associate’s degree with 10 years, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years (or 2 years as a Development Engineer Technician II at First Solar).
  • •Extensive verifiable hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.
  • •Safety first mindset and the ability to comply with all safety standards and procedures (including prior qualification in Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety NFPA 70E).
  • •Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • •Willingness to work the assigned shift and participate in the equipment team weekend on-call rotation for emergency tool support.
