Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow ammonia safety precautions and health-hazard procedures per Tyson requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA (and other applicable state, federal, and local agencies).
  • •Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration system components including ammonia compressors/condensers/valve stations and associated equipment.
  • •Maintain equipment to provide required operating temperatures for food industry standards.
  • •Participate as an Emergency Response Team Member and perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •1 year of industrial maintenance/electrical training and 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or HVAC operator experience.

  • •Experience with anhydrous ammonia systems, including mechanical and electrical repairs (ammonia response training preferred).
  • •Must be able to obtain SCBA certification, pass IIAR training modules for ammonia refrigeration, and complete required training.
